Privacy Policy

Overview

CogniUX is a simple tool that analyzes customer feedback to surface themes, pain points, and actionable UX improvements. We designed this MVP to collect as little data as possible.

What we process

• Feedback content you provide: text you paste or files you upload (e.g., CSV). This content is analyzed only to produce results you see in the UI.
• Technical basics: standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps, status codes) for abuse prevention and reliability.

How analysis works

• When you click Analyze, your feedback is sent to our API for processing.
• In Rule-based mode, we analyze your data on our server and return results. We do not intentionally persist the content.
• In OpenAI (beta) mode, your feedback is forwarded to OpenAI’s API to generate richer suggestions. By using this mode, you instruct us to send the content to OpenAI for processing.

Please avoid submitting personal or sensitive data. If you must include it, consider toggling off OpenAI mode.

Retention

• We do not purposefully store the feedback content you submit. It is kept transiently in memory to generate your results and then discarded.
• Operational logs may be retained for a short period for troubleshooting and abuse prevention; these logs do not include the body of your feedback.

Third-party services

• OpenAI (optional, when you enable OpenAI mode) — model inference provider.
• Hosting (e.g., Vercel) — serves the web app and API.

Cookies & tracking

This MVP does not use marketing cookies. If we add lightweight, privacy-preserving analytics later, we will update this page.

Children’s privacy

CogniUX is not directed to children. Do not submit personal information about minors.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
